We had heard wd~50 had extended their wine deal (50% off all bottles when you get the prix fixe), but not this troubling news: "The restaurant confirms that early this year it scaled back its hours (it’s now open Wednesday through Saturday 6 p.m. till 11:30 p.m., and till 10:30 p.m. on Sunday). The reason: As a cost-cutting measure, they’ve laid off some cooks and consolidated the kitchen staff into one shift rather than two." [GS]
