Careful observers may have noticed that Moira Hodgson, the Observer's food critic, hasn't had a review printed in the paper in the last two months. Julia Moskin reports there won't be one coming anytime soon either: "Ms. Hodgson said the paper had become increasingly reluctant to pay the considerable cost of the reviews. She, like fellow freelancers at many other publications, wasn’t directly reimbursed for her meals, she said." [Diner's Journal]
