This week, the ever-irritable Steve Cuozzo tells chefs to cut out their whining and buck up in these tough times. First of all, he's totally pissed that everyone went to SOBE last week: "Where were many of the city's chefs and owners last weekend? At the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, carrying on like the rock stars they're not." He contends the "celebrity chef" mentality is what's causing so many restaurants to flounder, digging at Shang for its overly-optimistic resy system, Sandro's for its desperate-sounding deals, and Bar Q owner Anita Lo for blaming its closure on the notion that "everyone just wants burgers."
