Troubling Signs: Mai House Cut Down to 3 Days a Week

Tribeca: A concerned tipster sent word last night that Mai House was sealed up tight as a drum last night and was worried it was taking a final dirt nap. Thinking they were just closed Mondays, we called the restaurant and discovered they're closed Mondays...Tuesdays...and Wednesdays. Oh yeah, and Sundays. A rep at the restaurant this morning tells us this is just a three week change while they do some "work" on the restaurant, but we all know how the temporary reduction worked out for the E.U. For the sake of owner Drew Nieporent and chef David Lee, we hope they enjoy a better fate (and don't close it to turn it into a pizza shop).
