Gramercy: Two reports just in from a correspondent and a tipster over at the grand opening of the Gramercy location of beloved Red Hook sandwich shop, Defonte's. Says one: "Bordering on bedlam, yet organized. Maybe 10 or 12 people making sandwiches. They look just as big on first glance. It's all sleek and modern and fast foody, like they're having a stab at being the next high-end sandwich chain. Not much old school charm."
