Upper East Side: Forge isn't the only restaurant this year to have to change its name due to trademark infringement. This morning we were informed that a press event for the new restaurant, and Adventures in Shilling vet, Stanton had been canceled due "to a matter out of our control." A look at their Facebook page explains why. In a message, that was immediately deleted after we informed the press people, Stanton restaurant wrote:
"We have a trademark infringement issue with the name of our restaurant and will have to change it. We are asking fans to provide some suggestions for names."The officials won't divulge who put forward the complaint, but we have a pretty good guess.
