Grandaisy Tribeca

1) Tribeca: A tipster writes in with word that the new Tribeca location of Grandaisy Bakery is partially open, selling coffee and baked goods. They write: “I did hear someone inside saying that they aren't doing any baking there now, everything is coming in from the Sullivan Street location, but by the end of the month everything will be up and running. One exciting thing is that they now have a little oven on the counter and can heat up slices of pizza.” Phone calls to the SoHo location confirm. Status: Certified Open. 250 W. Broadway, no phone yet. [Eater Inbox]

2) Harlem: Further uptown, word of another new bakery called SpaHa Café comes from UptownFlavor, via Yelp. Here’s the lowdown from a Yelper: “Just a heads up that a bit of Paris has landed on 116th and Lex. It’s a place called SpaHa Cafe. They have great breads, pastries, coffees and savory food (sandwiches, quiches, etc). It’s all sourced from the best suppliers and it’s all 100% a la Francaise.” Status: Certified Open. 1872 Lexington Avenue; 212-427-1767. [Yelp via Uptown Flavor]

3) Boerum Hill: And via Gothamist, Sweet Freak reports that Brooklyn Flea fave NuNu Chocolates has opened a shop on Atlantic Ave. They write: “The hot cocoa and tea are still coming, but all the caramels and ganaches are ready to be snapped up. Like the best selling hand dipped salt caramels: chewy two-bite treats that taste tobacco-y, salty and sweet altogether.” Status: Certified Open as of two weeks ago. 529 Atlantic Avenue, Park Slope; 917.776.7102.
