Village Carnage Continues: Gus' Place Seized by Tax Man

New, 3 comments

Following the news that 55 year-old Pink Tea Cup is closing over on Bleecker and Grove comes some more sad news, just a half a dozen blocks over. 22 year-old Gus' Place has been seized by the tax man. The Greek neighborhood spot (five years in its current location) could turn it around and reopen as quickly as Permanent Brunch, the East Village restaurant that was closed by the tax man for a mere four days. However, the elderly proprietress on the scene told an Eater operative that it's "not looking good." Here's hoping they persevere.
