1) Noho: A tipster sends word that Indian restaurant/cocktail spot Leela Lounge has closed and reopened as West 3rd Common. The new restaurant is a gastropub, and it began serving dinner last Saturday. Status: Certified Open, 1 West 3rd St., 212-529-2059.
2) Williamsburg: Via the tipline, M Noodle Bar, an appetizers and noodles only off shoot of popular Williamsburg Chinese staple, M Shanghai Bistro, opened its doors last Thursday. In addition to providing East Williamsburg with a potentially solid new take-out option, M Noodle Bar seems tailor made for Brooklyn bar hoppers -- they're open everyday from noon till 6AM. 3) Midtown: Midtown Lunch brings word that a new branch of Five Guys is now open on 3rd Ave between 43rd and 44th St. This is the second location of the popular D.C. based burger chain to open up in Midtown, and the eighth in NYC in just a little over two years. 4) West Village: The Feed reports that Amity Hall, a new bi-level beer hall is now open on West 3rd St. The bar will offer over forty beers on tap -- mostly regional beers and microbrews -- as well as a menu of burgers and typically hearty pub-grub.
