Welcome to the weekly Shutter. Know of any other restaurant that has met its demise? Let us know.
1) Park Slope: OTBKB reports that the Miracle Grill on Seventh Ave in Park Slope opened its doors for the last time on Sunday night. The Park Slope location was the third try for the southwestern eatery, which started as an acclaimed East Village spot with a young Bobby Flay in the kitchen, then moved to Bleecker street in the West Village where it enjoyed several years as a neighborhood fave before ultimately packing up and moving into a larger space on a florid block of Park Slope. 2) East Village: Per the tipline: "Vegetarian Indian restaurant Madras Cafe on 2nd Avenue in the East Village has been closed for a week or 2 now. Last night I saw signs in the window that said something like 'Coming soon: An Indian Restaurant.'" [ShutterWire]
3) Chinatown: Grub Street brings word that Chinatown cheap eats haven, Rainbow Cafe, has shuttered after losing its lease at 154 Mott St. Fans of Rainbow's cheap and offerings—including its much hyped rice and sausage stuffed fried chicken wings—should not fear: the restaurant has just opened a new location in Sunset Park, at 60th st. and Seventh Ave. [GS]
