Score a Primo Resy to Locanda Verde's $50 Truffle Dinner

New, 2 comments

This time of year, who doesn't like to get stuff for free? Lucky for you, the annual Eater Giveaway Extravaganza is well underway. Until we run out of goodies, check this space regularly for new chances to win. 'Tis the season, friends. And publicists, ping us here if you want to offer something up to the hungry crowds.

2009_11_trufflepalooza.jpgVisit practically any high end restaurant in town this week—Marea, Cafe Boulud, Babbo—and expect a prompt from a buttoned up waiter to take a whiff of his fist-sized white truffle and an offer to shave $40 worth over your pasta. Now in season, they're pungent, delicious, and sadly, excessively expensive. That is unless you're dining at Locanda Verde next Monday. Chef Andrew Carmellini is celebrating the season with Trufflepalooza, a one night only event where anyone in the dining room can get three white truffle-centric courses for $50. Resys are growing scarce, but Carms and his supplier John Magazino want to offer a primo two-top for a lucky Eater reader. To win, tell us why you need to be at this dinner. AC and Magazino will pick the winner. Deadline is end of day tomorrow.
If the truffles aren't your thing, check back for more giveaways.
