Colors Gives it Another Go After Five Month Hiatus

New, 12 comments

Against all odds, Colors survives. The mostly underpopulated restaurant cooperative, owned and operated by former Windows of the World workers, appeared to have an uncertain future back in '07. In early '08, it was reported that the restaurant almost closed after racking up $1 million in debt. Then the economy soured, they announced a two month break—which stretched into a five month break— and it looked like the place was dunzo. But it soldiers on. A walk by today confirms Colors is soft open again for cocktails. The chefs are still developing a new menu, and when they do, expect a full, official debut.
