Now that newfound fame has been achieved, Top Chef Vegas contestant Eli Kirshtein will be leaving his Atlanta restaurant. According to Omnivore Atlanta, after a season of singing the praises of Hotlanta's up and coming dining scene, Eli has put in his notice at Eno restaurant, instead opting for the bright lights of New York City. And in bizarre Top Chef fashion, he'll be taking a "guest chef" gig at Midtown's upscale kosher joint Solo. This is, of course, the restaurant former winner Hung Huynh decamped to after the owners supposedly promised to invest in his solo restaurant venture, a dream that was never realized.
It was as weird for Hung, a master of shellfish (and everything else), as it is for Eli, lover of bacon. But hey, he had to move out of his mom's house eventually.
