1): EV Grieve reports that Habib's Place, the sliver of a Middle Eastern restaurant on Avenue A and 6th Street has closed. Habib has had a place in the East Village since 1992. This latest incarnation opened last year. [EVG]
2) EV Grieve also learns that Absinthe, the short lived restaurant on 1st Ave. and East 7th has closed. The new place going in is called Lautrec Bistro. [EVG]
3) Blog Twerking Hard in the East Vilalge reports that The Hose, the gay bar that opened in the old Uncle Ming space on Avenue B and 13th just under a year ago, has shuttered. [Twerking]
