Holy holy. Just in time for the launch of Eater Miami (note: true), Danny Meyer Enterprises has announced that it's moved one step closer to total world domination. Introducing Shack Shake Miami. According to Union Square Hospitality Group reps, the new Miami project will debut just off Lincoln Road—in this crazy building—in spring/summer 2010. Half a year away people!
The new site will be designed by the same people behind the Madison Square Park and UWS locations and will be housed inside the "groundbreaking retail and residential project from developer Robert Wennett" and starchitects Herzog and de Meuron (please see the bird's nest from the Olympics in Beijing). Highlights, besides the Shack Burger, include outdoor seating, "lush water gardens", oak trees, and a "stunning" promenade.
First Nolita, then Miami...then the world. Beware all competitors in SoBe's 2011 Burger Bash.
