Louis 649 Gets Food; MaryAnn's Taking Yaffa's Space

EAST VILLAGE— Very cool East Village drinking (and onetime jazz) den Louis 649 will start serving a full menu for the first time in five years. Since they still don't have the luxury of a real kitchen, they're letting local purveyors curate menu items, including herring from Russ & Daughters, pickles from Rick’s Picks, charcuterie from The Bklyn Larder, Washugyu beef sashimi from Japan Premium Beef, cheese from Saxelby Cheese Mongers, empanadas from Barnyard, and chocolate from Nunu Chocolates.
