An interesting tidbit from the tipline:
So I just called Cipriani Downtown for a 10:30 reservation for six people tomorrow. Last minute but whatevs. The reservationist said they are no longer accepting reservations for groups larger than 4 people after 7 PM. (not just tomorrow night but as a policy!) Is it just me or is that ridiculous at this time of year???Hmm. It's curious in the very least. A call to the restaurant confirms that yes, they no longer take parties larger than four on the weekends after 7, because they're so damn busy they say. Weekdays they'll call it like they see it (meaning, you're probably fine on a Monday, not so much on a Thursday). The policy is unique to the West Broadway location, possibly because it's the busiest, and is a rare one in the restaurant industry as a whole. At least it probably means that vendors are getting paid.
