NYC The Blog notices that even the coffee is counterfeit in Chinatown

CHELSEA— A tipster reports that the new Chelsea location of Grey Dog opened today on 242 West 16th St.: "I had a lovely business lunch there today and it was fairly empty. Exposed brick, inviting space but a hard to find location." [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE— Michael Bao Huynh strikes again! The Feed hears rumors that the prolific and fast paced restaurateur is planning an Asian taco shack on St. Mark's place. Given the nabe just got a new burrito spot in Dos Toros and a new Mexico City style taco joint in La Lucha, there could be a taco bubble on its way. Word on the street is he has a number of leases on St. Mark's. [The Feed]

LOWER EAST SIDE— The owner of Allen & Delancey tells Grub Street that he fired departing chef Ryan Skeen because he spent too much money and spent too little time in the kitchen. He'll announce a new chef after Thanksgiving and will then introduce an expanded menu with cheaper options and a new bar menu. [GS]
