1) West Village: A new homestyle Mexican restaurant called Ofrenda is opening in the old Ostia space on 7th Ave. South near Christopher. They'll be serving hearty entrees like burgers, pork loin, rib eyes, and rack of lamb in addition to items like pig's feet chimichangas, anchovy boquerones, and fried plantains. [PLYWOOD]

2) Upper West Side: My Upper West learns that a new location of 'wichcraft is opening by the Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd. [PLYWOOD]

3) Crown Heights: Brownstoner brings word that a new burger joint is opening soon on 766 Franklin Avenue. The new space is right next to the recently-opened Breukelen Coffee House. [PLYWOOD]

5) Williamsburg: Roving photog Will Femia finds two new plywooded spots in Williamsburg. One, on 486 Metropolitan, down next to the BQE at the other end of the block from Kellogg's Diner, has already applied for a liquor license.
