This past week, the team behind the planned Artichoke restaurant in the former Red Rock space won approval for a beer and wine license, convincing a community board that at first was skeptical that the restaurant was not really a club in sheep's clothing. What changed their minds? In the latest Chelsea Now, CB4 member Paul Seres predicts that the gooey slices will help get the rowdies off the street and into the pizzeria, saying “there’s a good chance that any of those screaming people that want to get pizza—it’s now going to be his problem inside his place, which gets them off the street. Get a little food in them, absorb some of the alcohol, and we can send them on their way.”
