Pichet Ong's Spot Dessert Bar Set to Open Tuesday

New, 6 comments

Right this second, dessert guru Pichet Ong is furiously at work cranking out sweets and finishing up the details on his and Michael Huynh's (Update: Michel Huynh is now out of the project) new dessert bar on St. Mark's Place Spot. The chef, who closed his previous dessert concepts Batch and P'ong earlier this year, reveals they are planning on opening this Tuesday with a menu of madeleines, cupcakes, cookies, and puddings to go. It features floor to ceiling dark wood, astro turf in the entrance, quite a bit of light, and a Momo Milk-style chalkboard menu behind the counter, and it's weirdly mellow considering its St. Mark's home. A look at the brief menu:

Madeleines
Honey Vanilla
Coconut Chocolate
12 for $4 or 24 for $7

Cupcakes
Mocha
Vanilla
Green tea
$3 each

Cookies

Puddings To Go

Chocolate Pudding, Thai Coffee, Cocoa Pearls
Coconut Panna Cotta, Lime Cream, Macaroon
