Last month, Andrew Carmellini jumped on the fried chicken bandwagon by holding four sold out chicken dinners—along with plenty of sides, pie, and bacon from Char No. 4—in his gorgeous (see above) private dining room space at the back of Locanda Verde. He'll bring those back next summer, but in the meantime, he's moved on to a new, guaranteed to be popular theme. According to a line in a Post article today, Carmellini is planning an all you can eat pasta night in the PDR. Given the popularity of the restaurant, the strength of the pasta there, and the size of that back room, it's a no brainer, really. A call to the restaurant reveals staff members have yet to be briefed on the program, but expect more details soon.
