Before appearing before Community Board 4 to apply for a full liquor license, new Artichoke partner Noah Tepperberg met with local residents to hear their problems and even managed to line up support from LeCee Johnson, who is being sued by 1OAK for defamation. Despite these efforts, the CB still dropped the No Hammer, citing doubts about any pizza place that would serve liquor until 4AM and post a security guard outside to prevent crowds and noise. Artichoke has been asked to consider a beer and wine license until they prove their worthiness of a full license, and will return to the Board next month with updated plans and an accoustician to discuss noise prevention.
