R.I.P— Michael Ronis, founding chef of the Alicart Restaurant Group (Carmine’s, Virgil’s, Artie’s, Gabriela’s), has passed passed away. Per a press release: "Leaving behind a legacy that dates back 20 years to the opening of the original Carmine’s on the Upper West Side, Michael will be dearly missed by friends, family and colleagues.
