Name Changers

2009_10_griffin2.jpgThe owners of Griffin have been an issued a cease and desist letter, as former New York somebody Michael Ault claims they stole the name from his Miami club Gryphon. Despite the different spellings, both names are pronounced the same and represent a mythical creature with an eagle's head and wings and a lion's body. Neither are that great for a club, so here's hoping these two that co-own the Hawaiian Tropic Zone, can kiss and make up. [NYP]
