Bocuse d'Or Begins Search for Next USA Team

Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, Jerome Bocuse and the rest of the Bocuse d'Or USA Foundation have officially commenced the search for chefs to represent the United States in the next Bocuse d'Or International Culinary Competition, which will take place in Lyon, France in 2011. Historically, the United States has never fared very well in the competition dubbed the Culinary Olympics, never finishing better than sixth, and last year was the first time that the likes of Boulud and Keller put their weight into developing a training program and the like. In the '09 competition, America was represented by French Laundry chef Timothy Hollingsworth, who eventually placed sixth. Perhaps NYC chef Hung Huynh can give it another shot this year.
