Tishman Speyer Kicks Ciprianis Out of the Rainbow Room

Midtown West: As if the Ciprianis don't have enough trouble on their hands: The Times reports that Tishman Speyer, owner of 30 Rockefeller Center, has terminated the Cipriani family's lease on the Rainbow Room. The family owes millions of dollars in back rent, and according to the lease, they have three days to move on out. Reps for Tishman Speyer say they "will immediately begin the process of finding another great restaurateur to operate the space in the first-class manner that New Yorkers and visitors deserve.” Naturally, the family isn't leaving quietly: they're taking the landlords to court.
