The Shutter: Bay Ridge Takes a Hit; Chip Shop Closes

Bay Ridge: While irrelevant to the majority of New Yorkers, residents of Bay Ridge may be saddened to hear they're now one restaurant down. Chip Shop, the chain of British fish and chip restaurants, shuttered its Bay Ridge location on New Years Eve because, according to an employee, they were making no money. Fans of the Chip Shops on Fifth and Atlantic Aves in Brooklyn, no worries. Business there is reported to be strong.
