Protesters at Good Stuff Eatery in DC
GREENPOINT— Grub Street notices that the highly anticipated Ichiran Ramen is getting closer to opening, a year and a half late. Right now, they're open for friends and family, kind of: "Now a sign has been posted indicating that it will open its doors, at first, as a 'limited membership shop' accessible only to 'those living in the distance which walks from this shop,' provided they fill out an application form." [GS]
GREENWICH VILLAGE— TONY's The Feed reports that Keith McNally's revamp of Minetta Tavern is on the verge of opening. Though it is listed in their hard copy as opening this week, the blog has set it at next week. And while they're at, the site lists Seymour Burton's rebirth, Butcher Bay, as opening this week. [The Feed]
UPPER WEST SIDE— The new location of Kefi is now open for lunch. Midtown Lunch man Zach Brooks deems it "pretty awesome." [SE]
WASHINGTON DC—The protesters above are rallied against the violent conflict in Palestine. There is a chance there is a reason they parked themselves at Top Chef Spike Mendelsohn's Good Stuff Eatery before marching to the Capitol Building. But our guess is this is just bad luck for the burger joint. [EaterWire]
