The Plywood Report: Bomboloni, Just Salad, Brook Vin, 50 Henry, and More

1) Upper West Side: Via a press release we learn the Bomboloni, a new Upper West Side dessert and coffee shop, is set to open at Columbus and 67th in early April. The place will be located between the owner's two other ventures, Lansky's Old World Deli at 235 Columbus Avenue and Sushi A-Go-Go at 1900 Broadway. He'll serve bombolonis and Italian waffles. [PLYWOOD]

2) Greenpoint: A tipster writes in with some Greenpoint plywood news: "...two plywood sites on manhattan ave, one on the corner of Java and one just north of Greenpoint ave. Walking by as the plywood went up, both look like they were once upon a time something bar/restaurant-y." [PLYWOOD]

3) Brooklyn Heights: Last week Brooklyn Heights Blog learned that the owner of Henry’s End (44 Henry Street) and Cranberry’s (48 Henry Street) is taking over the space at 50 Henry Street. It will open for breakfast and lunch next month and as a wine bar this spring. [PLYWOOD]

4) Rockefeller Center: A reader with a salad district report: "I just walked through the Rock Center concourse and noticed that a 'just salad' is going to open four doors down from a 'Tossed'. Throw in Lenny's, which is opening in between (and will undoubtedly have a salad bar) and you have the makings of a salad war. I'm not yet sure who I'll want to toss my salad on a regular basis." [PLYWOOD]

5) Park Slope: Gowanus Lounge has a plywood update: "Brook Vin, the new wine bar on Seventh Avenue in Park Slope near Tenth Street, is getting ready to open, as the window says “Soon.” It will be operated by the same people that own the wine shop across the street." [PLYWOOD]
