The E.U. and Isabella's Oven weren't the only restaurant to serve their last this week. Here are four more closings from this week, and if you know of any more, do tell.
1) Upper East Side: Wine bar Brio 89 on 2nd Avenue between 89th and 90th has closed. According to its website, the restaurant will be reopening soon in a new location. [ShutterWire]
2) Chelsea: The Times reported on Wednesday that Jamaican spot Maroon's on 16th between 7th and 8th will close tomorrow. Zagat chimes in with more: "Gone as well are dreams of opening a Harlem outpost (in the works since 2005). Meanwhile, the owners are looking to relocate to a new space in the future and plan to market a line of gourmet sauces." [NYT; Zagat]
3) Upper East Side: Shutter news from the tipline: "Joanna on Madison Ave in Carnegie Hill has closed. Paola's will move into the space (from E.84th St. between 3rd/2nd)." [ShutterWire]
4) Williamsburg: Brooklyn Vegan reports that the bar adjacent to the Williamsburg record shop Soundfix will close at the end of the month: "This sucks for the free shows, and this is especially unfortunate for comedy. As we were just pointing out, Sound Fix has filled the gap left after Rififi closed. The Williamsburg bar has in fact become one of NYC's most consistent weekly (free) comedy show locations." [BV]
