First Word: Cutting Room Hoping to Relocate to 70 Franklin

New, 1 comment

Tribeca: Just two weeks ago The Cutting Room, the Flatiron lounge known for SNL cast parties, celebrity jams sessions, and co-owner owner Chris Noth, closed its door due to a lease woes. Co-owner Steve Welter told the Post at the end of '08 that they were scouting places in Tribeca, and it looks like they found one. Per Community Board 1's February agenda, the Cutting Room is applying for a liquor license at 70 Franklin St., just one block away from the recently shuttered Knitting Factory space at 74 Leonard. Another big applicant next month: Greenwich Hotel Restaurant, now minus one Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
