Chinatown Shutters Continue: New Southwind Goes Down

New, 5 comments

Last month we learned two Chinatown staples Kam Chueh and HSF had shuttered, and now another old timer, New Southwind, bites the dust. From the tipline:

"Unfortunately, this old Chinatown favorite closed as of last Friday, 1/16. They were known chiefly for their Scallion & Dried Shrimp Rice Rolls, Tofu, and Boiled Pork Dumplings. I grew up dining here with my family and it's simply irreplaceable in our hearts..."
We hear the owners have decided to retire. UPDATE: There is a Facebook page.
