Upper West Side: While a worker at Jonathan Waxman's other restaurant Barbuto tells us that his Upper West Side one year-old, Madaleine Mae, has closed for "renovations" for the next month or so, we're not so sure it's the case. A tipster writes in to say that a sign on the door says a Mexican place named "Comidas" is coming soon: "Wasn't a neighborhood favorite...probably why it didn't make it. But it is sad, always is..." We'll keep our eyes out for an MM reopening, but it's not looking good.
