Revivals: Studio B Actually Really Not Shuttering

Greenpoint: It’s been a rough year for Greenpoint club Studio B. This summer they were shuttered by the DOB for lacking a cabaret license. Then they became engulfed in a bitter battle with Brooklyn's CB1, whose angry members rejected their plea for a cabaret license on multiple occasions. After overcoming that saga they reopened briefly in October, but by December were reported to be closing after New Year’s Day. Then word was they were holding a closing party on Saturday January 10.

Now, curiously, according to their website, Studio B is not closing and future gigs have already been booked through early February. Who knows if it will ultimately close again, but for now, the party at Studio B rages on. Musicians, DJs, hipster club kids: enjoy it while it lasts.
