EaterWire: Citymeals Benefit, More Soup on St. Marks, Choice Eats

New, 1 comment

EAST VILLAGE— Some plywood news from Crain's: "Vietnamese restaurant Pho 32 recently signed a 10-year deal for its second Manhattan location, leasing 2,000 square feet on the upper retail level of 13 St. Marks Place, between Second and Third avenues. In addition, Su, a Korean eatery, signed a 10-year lease for 650 square feet on the ground level of the same address." [Crain's via TFB]

CHEAP EATS— Today tickets went on sale for the well intentioned shit show that is the Village Voice's Choice Eats, this year held on March 31. They raised the price to $35 this year, so there's a chance it will be less crowded/more manageable. It will be held at the 69th Armory on Lexington Avenue instead of the Puck Building. [EaterWire]

CHARITY— Tomorrow Daniel Boulud and chef Marco Moreira (Tocqueville) will host a party for the new guide book Dining in New York City to benefit Citymeals on Wheels. If you want to try tastes from Per Se, 15 East, Gramercy Tavern, and more, get your $400 tickets (charity!) here. [EaterWire]
