Could the restaurant crime spree be over? In the last two months we've noted that Black Iron Burger Shop, Perilla, Cabrito, Fiamma, and Delicatessen have been either robbed, vandalized, or broken into. Now the Post reports that the police have apprehended two restaurant robbers for stealing from an entirely different set of restaurants, including Song 7.2, Café Amore, Onieals, Blue & Gold, Bounce and the Standings Bar:
"They said the two sometimes got into restaurants and gained the confidence of workers by saying they had to check on electrical or water problems. 'They come in dressed in reflective vests and hardhats and tell people they have to get out,' said one cop. 'They always target the safe.'"The police are investigating other robberies across the city—including Delicatessen's—to see if they're related.
