Fiamma wasn't the only restaurant to serve its last this week. Here are five more closings from this week, and if you know of any more, do tell.

2009_01_chocolatebar.jpg1) East Village: EV Grieve is spreading the sad shutter rumor that the newly relocated Chocolate Bar has closed its new location on East 7th Street after just seven months in the East Village. He also suspects the East Village Pie Lounge is no more, a quick burst of the East Village Dessert Zone bubble. [EV Grieve]

2) Meatpacking District: When Steve Hanson closed Fiamma, Ruby Foo's, and Blue Water Grill Chicago, he also shuttered Level V in the Meatpacking District. Steve Lewis chimes in with his analysis: "Even with the best location in town, Level V could never muster an A-list crowd, and instead settled to grab what came by...I asked an axed Level V employee why it didn’t make it and was told that the restaurant mentality never could grasp the necessities of club promotion." [Diner's Journal; BB]

3) Upper East Side: Flo Fab reported earlier this week that Deathwatch Chronicles vet Solace on East 64th has closed. [NYT]

4) Gramercy: A reader brings the news of the shutter of Gramercy's Push Cafe: "Push Café, a dreary coffee spot on 3rd Ave between 22 & 23 closed recently. Brown paper went up and permit signs last week said they were installing a gas lines for a pizza oven." [Shutter Inbox]

5) Midtown West: Midtown Lunch reports that after 13 years on 8th and 43rd, the Ben and Jerry's there has closed: "It may not be a huge deal today, but the reverberations will be felt throughout Midtown West come the next 'free ice cream day'..." [ML]
