DICEY: Three Star Restaurants Most Likey to Fail in 2009?

New, 20 comments

Commenter wdt notes that Fiamma is the first three-star restaurant to close in 2009, and it may not be the last. Indeed, membership in the Three Star Club is precarious: diners eat with very elevated expectations and as a result are not always satisfied with the value-experience proposition with which they're met. Plus, in most cases, it's hella expensive to run these houses. No restaurant is safe, but perhaps we may see a bunch more three-baggers fall, too.
