1) Prospect-Lefferts Gardens: Blogger Hawthorne Street reports that Carroll Gardens' beleaguered restaurateur Jim Mamary will open a new BBQ joint called Billy Sunday’s tomorrow on the other side of the park. He writes: “The restaurant is expected to begin serving food on Friday. I expect that by then the address will be a bit more subtle. Ignore the address and focus instead on the neat neon sign and the salvaged front door.” Status: Not Open. Opening tomorrow. Food begins on Friday. 47 Lincoln Road, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens; phone unknown. [Hawthorne Street]

They write: “The extensive morning menu includes a fresh pastry basket, housemade granola, house cured salmon with potato and chive latkes, a "Brooklyn burrito" with scrambled eggs, a Roasted Root Vegetable Hash, and oh so much more. They're doing dinner, too, and though the Yelpers were quick to bitch about service kinks during opening weekend?” Status: Certified Open. 160 Franklin Street, Greenpoint; 718-389-8881. [Gothamist]
