The blog for the UK's Independent has been slowly revealing their top ten "Tastes of New York" over the past couple weeks, now at number 8. Some of the choices have been obvious (Pearl's lobster roll, pastrami on rye at 2nd Ave Deli) while some have been a little less predictable (Tarte flambée at The Modern, Braised short ribs at Scarpetta).
