LAGASSE WORLD— He may be in the twilight of his time on Food Network, but Emeril Lagasse's career as an author has just been kicked up a notch: "Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., which owns the rights to the Emeril Lagasse franchise of books, television shows and kitchen products, on Thursday announced a 10-book deal between the celebrity chef and publisher HarperCollins...Mr. Lagasse is set to release his first book—with a focus on indoor and outdoor grilling—in May 2009. From their press release: "On Monday, September 22, 2008, il Buco restaurant will celebrate its 14th anniversary while hosting its fifth annual 'Sagra del Maiale', an outdoor Pig and Apple Festival commemorating the Autumn Equinox (when day and night are of equal length).
