A Meatball Challenge

Bittman's guest blogger does a meatball face-off between two Swedish challengers, IKEA and Aquavit Cafe. To the shocking results: "...the little, unassuming, ice-burned, microwavable afterthoughts with which you crown your tower of cardboard boxes in the Ikea checkout line were unquestionably better than the ones that I ate at Aquavit Café in Midtown the night before I went to Red Hook. The restaurant’s Swedish meatballs...were over-salted. Really over-salted." [Bitten]
