Eater Inside: '21' Club, Noon

Welcome to our new photo series, where Eater photographer Daniel Krieger visits some of the city's storied restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. For our inaugural installation, we visit none other the legendary '21' Club right at noon.

Krieger, 9/24/08

Hands down, the time to dine at the legendary onetime speakeasy '21' Club is at lunch. The West 52nd Street building holds a power lunch spot extraordinaire, complete with a strict jacket policy and steeped in history. You may not see the media moguls and literary types of some other Midtown icons like Michael's, but '21' attracts its fair share of heads of industry, bold faced names, and old time regulars. And the food can stand up to both the history and the crowd. Welcome to Part One: the prep.
