Waiting for Vesuvio: Bakery Still Closed, Missed

The faithful fans of iconic Soho bakery Vesuvio are getting increasingly worried about the future of spot—now "under renovations"—which some have rumored will never reopen. In fact the reopening has been so delayed that it's given well wishers and disappointed visitors from London, Minnesota, Israel, and Sicily the chance to graffiti up the bakery's "closed for reno" sign, found by Josh Stein over at My Memoirs. We're going to have some faith and take owner Andrew Veniopoulos word for it that he plans to open soon. But if it takes much longer, we're expecting a few more notes along the "more lies" bent.
