Franklin Becker opens up Tierra, his new tapas bar on the other side of Sheridan Square (the old Tasca space) today. The menu has everything from cheeses to shellfish to lamb, grilled chorizo, the dish du jour chicken livers, and a combo of eel and foie gras. We don't feel like posting the whole menu here, but we'll let the folks at KBHall describe it for you: "While Becker's Sheridan Square menu is squarely on the serious side, Tierra is his romper room: he's having a wild time. Tierra is sexy and breaks the tapas bar stereotype...his gutsy, bold, old-as-the-earth itself flavors meet new world sentiments head on." [EaterWire]
