For any James Beard superfans out there. According to the JBF, Beard's longtime friend and editor John Ferrone recently found an old interview with the man from 1973. Hear his thoughts on entertaining, his pet peeves, and, vitally, his take on salad: "...I must confess. I don’t like, I really don’t like, cheese with salad...And I think people serve salad too much. Not every meal needs a salad.” [JBF]
