1) Greenwich Village: Our roving photographer grabbed a shot of the former Cafe Figaro. Looks like the new owners are already in there and are planning some major construction. They've already begun dividing up the space into two large rooms. [PLYWOOD]
2) West Village: Above is the latest shot of the interior of 10 Downing. Furniture is all in, artwork is up. Looking ready to go... [PLYWOOD]
3) West Village: A reader has word on what's going into the old AOC Bedford space: "Today I noticed a public hearing-type sign posted on Bedford, next to the Blue Ribbon bakery and across the street from 'ino. It had the name of a liquor license applicant ("Quinto Quarto") and an address of 14 Bedford...now the space is papered over. Any ideas? I'd love a Spanish place!" [PLYWOOD]
4) Flatiron: Another reader, on a new Flatiron spot: "The charming little space across the street from my apartment on West 22nd Street right off 5th Ave will, I think, be a restaurant (could be a lounge, I'm not sure). It will be called Catch-22. A sign on the window says that it is closed for a private party tonight. I assume it's some sort of soft opening." [POST-PLYWOOD]
5) Williamsburg: We have some new shots of the interior of Motorino, the new pizza place opening on Graham Ave. and Devoe, right across the street from the month old Italian/pizza joint Barosa. The plywood is finally down and the furniture is almost all in place. [PLYWOOD]
6) Cobble Hill: Some new BBQ coming to Cobble Hill: "My darling wife told me that the place across the street from NY Perks and Robin des Bois is slated for a whiskey and BBQ joint. The plywood's down, and there's iron clad facade with window openings, and she noticed yesterday that, 'There was a guy in there that looked like your friends from 3rd Ward.'" We don't know about 3rd Ward opening a restaurant, but we're happy to keep a close watch on any new 'whiskey and BBQ' joint. [PLYWOOD]
7) Bed-Stuy: Brownstoner reports on some new plywood action in Bed-Stuy: "A reader sent us this photo of T-Cup, the new café opening at 627 Throop Avenue, at Decatur Street, in Bed-Stuy. The space had once been a tool rental business, but maybe the neighborhood needs more cupcakes than screwdrivers right now? A quick Googling shows they plan to open bright and early— 6:30AM —and will offer Frappuccinos, Belgian waffles and paninis..." [PLYWOOD]
