In a surprise to members of the community who were loudly opposed to the idea, the SLA granted a beer and wine license to 'beca, the controversial restaurant in the Duane Hotel. Sounds like even the community board gets confused by its convoluted proceedings, as it mistakenly told the SLA it would not oppose the license, even though that resolution was not passed.
