The Shutter: Deathwatched Zoe Townhouse to Become Fish Legs

New, 8 comments

Upper East Side: A number of tipsters have written in and a spot check confirms: the Deathwatched Zoe Townhouse on East 62nd near Lexington Ave. has, predictably, shuttered. According to a public notice announcing a request to transfer liquor licenses in the window, it will reopen shortly as Fish Legs. A reader informs us that David Burke is rumored to be involved with the new restaurant, hoping to turn it into a "steakhouse or a seafood joint", however Burke's reps say that's news to them. Let's hope whoever the new owner is, he or she has better luck with the plagued townhouse than Zoe, Jovia, and the short-lived Rouge.
